Congratulations! We would love to have you join our Children's HealthCare Family.
You have come to the right practice! Our Pediatricians, International Board Certified Lactation Consultants and Certified Childbirth Educators offer a wide array of classes to help you to prepare for the arrival of your baby. Please click on our class links to learn more.
We want to meet you!
Come meet our genuine, kind, caring staff! Children's HealthCare is the most family-centered comprehensive pediatric practice in the Lehigh Valley. No where else in the Valley can you visit your pediatrician, the Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Center, and a pediatric dentist all in one building.
You are cordially invited to come meet with our doctors.
How can you meet us? - two options
Option One - Prenatal Meet 'n Greet
We believe this is the best option for new parents, as you will get to meet several of the members of our team of pediatric professionals (Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Lactation Consultants). We will discuss our office philosophy, provide a tour of the office and provide anticipatory guidance for the upcoming birth or adoption.
Register for one of our dates below:
Option Two - Prenatal Office Visit
Schedule a time to meet 1:1 with one of our Pediatricians. This comprehensive prenatal visit is a full office visit, during which expectant parent(s) can discuss their needs, interests and concerns, while receiving anticipatory guidance for their upcoming birth or adoption. This option also gives you the opportunity to talk 1:1 with a physician about any concerns you may have regarding your baby's health. Call today to schedule your, personal, complementary prenatal visit, where you will tour our office and meet a member of our team.
Affiliation, means our pediatricians have privileges to care for you newborn in the hospital We ARE NOT a practice owned and operated by a hospital. We are a small, locally-owned and operated practice. Only our providers care for our patients, never a "covering physician."
Our pediatricians are affiliated with the following hospitals and can see your baby in the newborn nursery at:
Lehigh Valley Health Network & Lehigh Valley Children's Hospital, Cedar Crest & Muhlenberg Campuses
St. Luke's Hospital & University Health Network, Allentown & Bethlehem Campuses
Be sure to inform your obstetrics team and hospital staff that you would like to have Children's HealthCare oversee your baby's care. Your baby will receive comprehensive, coordinated care from your child's first day of life. Your newborn will have a thorough head-to-toe assessment in your hospital room daily, so we can discuss our findings one-on-one with you.
Board Certified Providers
Our team of Children's HealthCare Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners are all board certified. All of our pediatricians are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), Certified Breastfeeding Specialists, Certified Lactation Counselors and members of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. No matter what your feeding method of choice, we will be there to support you and your family from birth.
Additional In-hospital Services Offered
We come to the local hospitals daily to see any newborns on our service.
We perform cirumcisions on our patients, at your request, both in the hospital and in our office.
Did you know? Our physicians are able to diagnose and develop a plan of care for newborns with tongue tie (otherwise known as ankyloglossia), while your baby is still in the hospital setting, if deemed necessary for feeding issues.
Open to any mom, who has an interest in meeting other moms, or supporting other moms on their breastfeeding and/or parenting journey. You do not need to be breastfeeding to attend. There will be refreshments, support, understanding, encouragement and friendship, along with an opportunity to weigh your baby. Before and after feed weights are a great way to ensure your baby is transferring adequate amounts of breastmilk. Guest speakers will, occasionally, be invited to speak with the group, but our main focus is having an enjoyable relaxing atmosphere of mom-to-mom companionship and reassurance. Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Lactation Counselor will be hosting the event and is willing to discuss any questions, concerns or issues you may be having.
We suggest coming prenatally (before your baby is born) to learn about breastfeeding and gain some mommy support and then return, as soon as your are comfortable after delivery, as the early days are when moms need the most support.
